RAL colours: the shade and the coated face, chosen by the customer

The colour is picked from a list with its swatch, or typed as a free RAL code when the customer has the reference from their architect. The choice shows up in the 3D render and in the summary, so there is no more “we said dark grey”.

The visible face is set separately: front or back. On a coping, a fascia cladding or a corner angle, the face seen from the street is not always the one a workshop would coat by default. The configurator shows both in distinct colours on the section, one solid, one dashed.

The finish catalogue is yours, and it follows the material. On aluminium the list offers mill finish, RAL powder coat, anodised, brushed anodised, black brushed anodised, champagne anodised, golden oak, anodic natura, chequer plate. On steel it offers mill finish, RAL powder coat, galvanised, corten, treadplate. These are not generic lists: they are what this workshop can actually do.

When the sketch says nothing about the finish, the configurator does not choose for you. It asks the question, offers your finishes, and gives the customer an “I do not know, let the workshop decide” button that sends the decision back to you instead of stalling the order.
