Cut-ready DXF: the approved outline goes to the laser

Between the customer's sketch and the cutting bed there is normally a draughtsman. That is the link a generated DXF removes.

The outline the customer approved on screen is exactly the one that comes out as a DXF: the flat contour, the bend lines, the holes with their diameter and position. On the angle example, the flat view carries “Ø10 ×4” and four red markers, and the DXF reproduces them identically.

Redrawing is the real hidden cost of manual quoting, and it is not only time. It is above all where the mistakes get in: a dimension misread off a fax, a forgotten hole, a flat length worked out on the wrong K-factor. A redrawn part is a reinterpreted part.

The flat length is worked out with your material's K-factor, not a generic value. Stainless and aluminium do not unfold the same way, and a flat length two millimetres out across six bends gives a part outside tolerance. Our public calculator applies the same values if you want to check before taking our word for it.

The file opens in your CAM like any other DXF. There is no proprietary format, no viewer to install, and nothing stopping you walking away one day with your files.
