Automatic follow-up on abandoned sketches
The cheapest quote to win is the one a customer had started asking for and did not finish.
No screenshot for this one. A follow-up is an email. There is no configurator screen that shows it honestly, and we would rather not draw one.
A customer who configures a part and stops halfway is not a lost customer. They were interrupted: a phone call, a job, a piece of information they had to go and find. Without a follow-up they do not come back, and you will never know they were there.
The follow-up goes out on its own, with the resume link. The customer reopens exactly where they stopped, with their dimensions, their sketch and their basket intact. They do not start over, which is precisely why most people never come back.
The most common case is not outright abandonment: it is a customer blocked by a question. They did not know the exact colour, they had to check a dimension on site. The configurator then offers to finish later by email, and that is the thread the follow-up picks up.
You see these unfinished enquiries on your side, with what is missing. Some are worth a phone call: a customer who configured sixty parts and stalled on a finish is not a cold lead.
What it changes
The basket is found intact
Nobody retypes an entry, which is the real reason abandonments become permanent.
You know the blocking question
You know what the customer stalled on, so you know what to say when you call.
Revenue already half won
These are real enquiries, with real dimensions, not anonymous visitors.
